SALT BATH NITRIDING

HEF Groupe's CLIN technologies, for Controlled Liquid Ionic Nitriding, include a wide range of Salt Bath Nitriding brand names such as TUFFTRIDE®, ARCOR®, TENIFER®, MELONITE® and QPQ®.

These treatments concern mainly ferrous alloys (steel, cast iron, stainless steel, etc.) and are carried out between 500°C and 630°C, in order to improve the surface properties, such as:

• Increased wear resistance

• Good friction properties

• Excellent seizure resistance

• Excellent corrosion resistance

• Good mechanical resistance

• Resistance to heat over 500 degrees celcius

• Cosmetic appearance

Among the world, these processes have proven their reliability to:

• Decrease the production costs, by increasing the toolings lifetime

• Replace others conventional heat treatments solution (Case hardening, Induction quenching, etc...)

• Replace others kind of coatings (Hard Chromium, Chemical Nickel, etc...)
